Job summary

University Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Training Specialist for our Corporate Professional Billing team at Truman Medical Center. The role focuses on quality assurance, new hire and refresher training, system training, and coaching staff to uphold revenue cycle best practices.

The position requires at least a high school diploma and 3+ years in a healthcare setting with experience in eligibility verification, scheduling, and registration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare setting with direct experience in eligibility verification, scheduling and registration.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• Strong understanding of revenue cycle functions, including insurance eligibility, billing processes, claims, denials and account resolution.
• Familiarity with EHR and patient access systems (e.g., Allscripts, Cerner, or other applicable systems).
• Ability to analyze reports and identify training or performance trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Support quality assurance by delivering training curricula for new hires and refresher courses.
• Develop and execute training initiatives, review system and performance reports, and coach staff one-on-one.
• Deliver engaging training content and conduct routine rounds with staff to ensure adherence to best practices.
