Job summary

athenahealth seeks a US-based Revenue Cycle Performance Associate to monitor KPI performance, partner with product teams, and drive improvements that help practices get reimbursed faster.

In this hybrid role, you will lead data-driven initiatives, build and analyze datasets, and present insights to senior leadership. You will collaborate across cross-functional teams to reduce billing surprises and streamline AR processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2+ years’ experience in healthcare revenue-cycle operations with a track record of improving KPIs.
• Experience writing prompts using AI-powered tools and language models.
• Advanced proficiency in Tableau, Sigma, Excel, and PowerPoint; SQL knowledge helpful.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and tools (Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, SharePoint).
• Strong project-management skills; able to juggle priorities, meet deadlines, and communicate risks.
• Ability to influence cross-functional, geographically distributed teams with data-driven storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product team to build automation projects (APIs, prompts, etc.).
• Build and analyze data sets to identify automation opportunities.
• Investigate Tableau and Sigma dashboards to spot trends in cycle rates and A/R status.
• Analyze trends, identify root causes, and craft data-driven action plans; track impact.
• Lead end-to-end continuous-improvement projects with alignment to goals.
• Present insights and progress to senior leadership with data-driven storytelling.
