Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Director of Revenue Accounting to establish and maintain global revenue accounting policies in line with ASC606 and CECL, leading the revenue close and ensuring GAAP compliance across our multinational platform.

The role partners with billing and finance across jurisdictions, drives process improvements, and supports acquisitions and finance transformations. This position offers a hybrid work model with in-person attendance at least three days per week.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in revenue accounting or financial reporting at a public company or major CPA firm.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and IFRS related to revenue recognition (ASC606).
• CPA certification or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain revenue accounting policies compliant with ASC606 and CECL.
• Bridge local GAAP/IFRS to US GAAP for revenue recognition across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with billing and accounting systems to enable accurate revenue accounting.
• Support monthly/quarterly/annual closes and related journal entries.
• Develop memos and documentation to support revenue recognition positions.
• Coordinate with external auditors during audits and reviews.
