Job summary

Grant Thornton is seeking a Director of Revenue Accounting to join our team in the United States. The role focuses on establishing and maintaining global revenue accounting policies in line with ASC606 and CECL, and leading financial reporting improvements across the advisory platform.

The successful candidate will partner with billing, drive month-end close, ensure GAAP compliance, and support audits while identifying automation opportunities and building scalable processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in revenue accounting or financial reporting at a public firm or public company.
• Strong U.S. GAAP and IFRS knowledge, ASC606 revenue recognition.
• CPA or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain revenue accounting policies compliant with ASC606 and CECL.
• Bridge from local GAAP/IFRS to U.S. GAAP for revenue recognition.
• Partner with billing and systems to enable revenue accounting.
• Prepare month-end schedules and management reporting packages.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual close processes and journal entries.
• Identify opportunities for process automation and system improvements.
