Databricks Inc. is seeking a Revenue Accounting Manager to lead the full close cycle, applying ASC 606 to complex arrangements and ensuring accurate, scalable revenue reporting.

You will partner across Revenue Operations, Billing, Legal and Finance to drive improvements and automation. The role combines hands-on accounting with cross-functional influence in a rapidly evolving revenue environment, reporting to the Manager of Revenue Accounting in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent certification.
• 10+ years in public accounting, corporate revenue accounting or related financial operations.
• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and complex revenue recognition principles.
• Operational accounting experience at a rapidly growing company and end-to-end close.
• Demonstrated ability to lead monthly/quarterly close and improve speed/quality.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets.
• Experience using AI tools in a professional context.

Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end monthly close, including journal entries and reporting.
• Apply ASC 606 to complex customer arrangements and document conclusions.
• Pull and validate data across contracts, billing, revenue systems and GL.
• Manage revenue subledger to GL reconciliations for deferred/revenue and unbilled AR.
• Analyze large datasets and present revenue drivers to management.
• Lead system and process improvements across revenue, billing, and ERP systems.
• Identify and build automation through SQL/scripts/AI tools.
• Support SOX controls and external audits with strong documentation.
• Prepare key financial reporting deliverables and schedules.
• Collaborate with Revenue Ops, Billing, Legal, Sales Ops, FP&A and Audit.
