The Office of Alumni Relations is the primary point of contact between Whitman College and the Whitman Alumni body. Reunion Weekend is the banner event for the Alumni Association and is held semi-annually in the fall and spring. The Reunions Assistant II, under the supervision of the Alumni Relations staff, will help with planning, set-up, staffing and break-down of Reunion events. This is a temporary student position, working up to 15 hours during Reunion events from September 20-30, 2026. No remote work available.

Students in this position will develop interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with people from all backgrounds, including influential alumni and college leadership. The role offers practical experience in enhancing time management and organizational skills through the coordination of high-stakes, large-scale events. Additionally, students will practice verbal communication skills by providing professional customer service. Students will also demonstrate responsibility and the ability to work independently while managing specific event-related tasks and maintaining strict confidentiality. Students will develop broad hospitality industry skills by assisting with venue planning, decorating, and event logistics.
