Job summary

BESTAFF is hiring a Returns Supervisor in Indianapolis, IN to lead a returns team of up to 20 associates and ensure daily processing adheres to client SOPs. You will report to the GM and drive process improvements in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role requires 5+ years in warehousing, experience with OMS/WMS systems, RF scanning, and strong Excel skills. Bilingual ability is required, and extended hours may be needed during peak season.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of up to 20 associates in the returns department.
• Follow customer instructions and report all nonconformance.
• Work with Customer Service on invoicing and billing inquiries.
• Track labor as needed for invoicing to specific clients.
• Work closely with leadership as SOPs are developed for each client.
• Work closely with the Customer Service team to ensure returns are processed daily.
• Locate HOT requests via tracking numbers and pull those forward.
• Develop a strategy to ensure all inbound returns packages are processed in a timely manner.
• Revamp the flow of the returns area as needed.
• Report issues as they arise.
• Champion safety and lead by example.

About the Role

BESTAFF is hiring an experienced Returns Supervisor to lead the returns department for a growing distribution partner in Indianapolis, IN. You'll lead a team of up to 20 associates, keep daily returns processing on schedule, and be the go-to person as SOPs are built out for each client. You'll report directly to the GM.

What You’ll Do

• Lead a team of up to 20 associates in the returns department
• Follow customer instructions and report all nonconformance
• Work with Customer Service on invoicing and billing inquiries
• Track labor as needed for invoicing to specific clients
• Work closely with leadership as SOPs are developed for each client
• Work closely with the Customer Service team to ensure returns are processed daily

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience in a warehouse environment
• Experience with OMS (Order Management Systems) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems)
• RF scanner experience, including inventory put-aways once returns are processed
• Experience with RMAs and the overall returns process a big plus
• Computer literate with strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent communication skills and able to lead a team
• Detail-oriented and highly organized
• Data-driven, able to meet deadlines and daily production goals
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Team player who works well with other supervisors and floor associates
• Strong sense of urgency and ownership of the department
• Bilingual required
