Job summary

Lingo Staffing is seeking a Returns Supervisor to lead daily returns operations in a fast-paced warehouse setting in Plainfield, IN. This temp-to-hire role oversees up to 20 associates, ensures timely processing of inbound returns, and coordinates with Customer Service and operations.

Bilingual English/Spanish is required and experience with WMS/OMS systems and RF scanning is highly preferred. The position requires strong organizational skills and a data-driven approach to meet daily production

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of up to 20 warehouse associates within the Returns Department.
• Oversee the daily processing of inbound returns and ensure production goals are met.
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure all returns are processed in a timely manner.
• Monitor daily workload, productivity, and department performance.
• Work closely with Customer Service to ensure returns are processed daily.
• Locate and prioritize HOT return requests using tracking numbers and move them forward for processing.
• Follow customer-specific instructions and ensure all returns are processed according to established procedures.
• Report nonconformance, discrepancies, and operational issues to leadership.
• Work with SOPs as they are developed for individual clients.
• Help organize and improve the flow of the returns area as business needs change.

Location: Plainfield, IN
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM + overtime as needed
Salary: $50,000-$55,000 per year

About the Position

We are hiring an experienced Returns Supervisor / Warehouse Supervisor to lead daily returns operations in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment.

This position will oversee a team of up to 20 associates and ensure inbound returns are processed accurately, efficiently, and within required deadlines. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, data-driven, and comfortable coordinating with Customer Service, Operations, and warehouse leadership.

Bilingual English/Spanish is required.

Experience with RMA processes, returns processing, WMS/OMS systems, RF scanners, inventory, and warehouse operations is highly preferred.

What You'll Do

• Lead and support a team of up to 20 warehouse associates within the Returns Department.
• Oversee the daily processing of inbound returns and ensure production goals are consistently met.
• Develop and implement strategies to ensure all returns are processed in a timely manner.
• Monitor daily workload, productivity, and department performance.
• Work closely with Customer Service to ensure returns are processed daily.
• Locate and prioritize HOT return requests using tracking numbers and move them forward for processing.
• Follow customer-specific instructions and ensure all returns are processed according to established procedures.
• Report all nonconformance, discrepancies, and operational issues to leadership.
• Work closely with leadership as SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) are developed and updated for individual clients.
• Help organize and improve the flow of the returns area as business needs change.
• Track labor hours as needed for invoicing specific clients.
• Work with Customer Service on invoicing and billing inquiries.
• Use RF scanners to process returns and complete inventory put-away after returns are processed.
• Support inventory accuracy and proper product placement.
• Monitor RMA activity and ensure returns are properly documented and processed.
• Report issues as they arise and take ownership of resolving departmental challenges.
• Promote a strong warehouse safety culture and lead by example.
• Work closely with other supervisors and departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
• Maintain strong communication between Returns, Customer Service, Inventory, and other warehouse teams.
• Meet daily production goals, deadlines, and customer requirements.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Support extended hours during peak season as needed.
• Report directly to the General Manager.

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
• Experience leading teams of up to 20 associates.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and OMS (Order Management Systems).
• Experience using RF scanners.
• Experience with inventory put-away and warehouse inventory processes.
• RMA and returns processing experience is highly preferred.
• Experience working with Customer Service, billing, invoicing, or client-specific requirements is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet daily deadlines.
