Job summary

Cosmo Appliances is seeking a Returns Specialist to ensure proper handling of returned kitchen appliances, maintain inventory integrity, and support distribution goals. The role emphasizes high attention to detail, effective communication, and readiness to operate in a fast-paced startup environment.

Ideal candidates have experience in returns or warehouse settings, with ability to lift up to 70 lbs and proficiency in Excel/Sheets; forklift certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in returns, quality control or inspections.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs frequently.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• Proficient with smartphones for daily tasks.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Able to stand for long hours in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in warehouse or distribution environments.
• Knowledge of warehouse operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, repair and organize returned kitchen appliances.
• Assist in consolidation and storing process of received products.
• Receive returned merchandise following procedures for each product type.
• Distribute returned items to proper locations.
• Picking and pulling orders for will call and online customers.
• Take detailed damage pictures and entering damage notes in internal computer systems.
• Identify and report recurring product quality issues to vendors.
• Be the company’s internal point of contact for all things related to returned merchandise.
• Identify critical storage, distribution, and product quality issues and report them to upper management.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment at all times.
• Other tasks as required to meet team goals.
