Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Modesto, CA is hiring a First (1st) Shift Returns Processor to open and verify returned merchandise, scan items, and place freight in proper locations. The role requires about six months of warehouse experience and familiarity with scanning procedures.

You will load, unload, stock, and stage product, operate basic equipment, and ensure accurate processing of freight. The position offers hourly pay of $20.20 with eligibility for attendance bonus and benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; certification preferred.
• At least 6 months warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift operation experience preferred.
• Ability to stand, lift and handle freight for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Open and verify returned merchandise and scan items.
• Place freight in correct locations and stage products.
• Verify items are in original packaging for scanning.
• Ensure scanned freight is processed and reaches its destination.
• Follow safety and sanitation standards and perform duties as assigned by management.

Role Purpose

Opens and verifies returned merchandise, scans merchandise, and places freight in proper locations.

Key Accountabilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage product. May require using powered equipment.
• Verify proper item is in the original packaging in preparation for scanning.
• Assure accurate and proper processing of all freight utilizing the scanning system.
• Identify items that require special processing or separation (e.g. hazardous material, store services, research, salvage).
• Ensure that scanned freight reaches the appropriate destination (e.g. slot, destroy, salvage).
• Stack and tape pallets in a safe manner.
• Observe all safety and sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Education and Experience

• Material handling equipment certification, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience, preferred
