Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is hiring a Returns Processor in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on opening and verifying returned merchandise, scanning items, and placing freight in proper locations.

It involves loading, unloading, stocking, staging, and ensuring proper processing of freight with attention to safety standards. The position requires at least six months of warehouse experience and familiarity with a warehouse management system (WMS).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Six months warehouse experience preferred.
• Experience with a WMS (JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Open and verify returned merchandise; scan and place freight correctly.
• Load, unload, stock and stage product; may use powered equipment.
• Ensure accurate processing of freight and identify special handling needs.
• Observe safety and sanitation standards; perform other duties as assigned.

Position: Returns Processor
Shift: 1St
Pay: $18.45

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

• Order Fulfillment as anReturns Processor - to include cross-trained skills across multiple departments
• inbound, outbound, auto store, domestic and international shipping, receiving.
• Preparing product for safe shipment and verifying accuracy utilizing computer, shipping label and/or packing list.

A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the following:

• -Order Fulfillment as an Order Picker and Packer - to include cross-trained skills across multiple departments - inbound, outbound, auto store, domestic and international shipping, receiving.
• -Preparing product for safe shipment and verifying accuracy utilizing computer, shipping label and/or packing list.
• -Experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) is highly desired. Examples of WMS systems are JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP.
• -Able to stand for extended periods of time. The position will require standing for up to 90% of the shift.
• -Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Role Purpose

Opens and verifies returned merchandise, scans merchandise, and places freight in proper locations.

Key Accountabilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage product. May require using powered equipment.
• Verify proper item is in the original packaging in preparation for scanning.
• Assure accurate and proper processing of all freight utilizing the scanning system.
• Identify items that require special processing or separation (e.g. hazardous material, store services, research, salvage).
• Ensure that scanned freight reaches the appropriate destination (e.g. slot, destroy, salvage).
• Stack and tape pallets in a safe manner.
• Observe all safety and sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
