Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Returns Processor to handle order fulfillment and processing of returned merchandise. The role includes inbound/outbound shipping, packing, scanning, and using a warehouse management system to ensure accurate, timely handling of items.

Ideal candidates have at least six months of warehouse experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and may hold material handling equipment certification or forklift experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate processing and proper destination of scanned freight.
• Follow safety and sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Pay: $18.45

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

A minimum of (1) one year's experience in the following:

• Order Fulfillment as an Order Picker and Packer - to include cross-trained skills across multiple departments - inbound, outbound, auto store, domestic and international shipping, receiving.
• Preparing product for safe shipment and verifying accuracy utilizing computer, shipping label and/or packing list.
• Experience with a WMS (Warehouse Management System) is highly desired. Examples of WMS systems are JDA, Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, SAP.
• Able to stand for extended periods of time. The position will require standing for up to 90% of the shift.
• Must be able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

Role Purpose

Opens and verifies returned merchandise, scans merchandise, and places freight in proper locations.

Key Accountabilities

• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage product. May require using powered equipment.
• Verify proper item is in the original packaging in preparation for scanning.
• Assure accurate and proper processing of all freight utilizing the scanning system.
• Identify items that require special processing or separation (e.g. hazardous material, store services, research, salvage).
• Ensure that scanned freight reaches the appropriate destination (e.g. slot, destroy, salvage).
• Stack and tape pallets in a safe manner.
• Observe all safety and sanitation standards.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent, preferred
• Material handling equipment certification, preferred
• Six months warehouse experience, preferred
• Six months forklift operation experience, preferred
