Job summary

IKEA in Palo Alto is hiring for a part-time returns and exchanges associate. You will help customers with accurate transactions, process returns and exchanges, and ensure a smooth shopping experience while capturing high-quality data for follow-up.

The role offers hourly pay between $22 and $28.65, flexible shifts including evenings and weekends, with full benefits for regular part-time teammates and co-worker discounts. Experience in sales or customer service is preferred.

• 1 year sales or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Creates a positive customer experience by ensuring accurate transactions and/or orders.
• Meets customers' needs, solves problems independently, and recognizes when to escape to a manager.
• Builds loyalty by ensuring a positive customer journey during the IKEA shopping experience.
• Builds emotional connections through meaningful and empathetic interactions with customers.
• Provides customers with a simple and efficient handout experience during Full Serve Hand Out (FSHO) and offers/sells services when needed.
• Provides a smooth returns and exchange experience while collecting high quality data for follow-up.
