Job summary

Sulzer is seeking a Sales Engineer to support the sales process with technical expertise, demonstrations, and proposals. This early-career role works with senior engineers and sales teams to meet customer requirements, focusing on retrofit opportunities and timely order intake.

The role requires mechanical engineering basics, pump knowledge, and strong communication as travel of 25–50% is expected to cover the nominated region. You will collaborate across teams to grow Sulzer's retrofit business.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant pump industry experience.
• Experience in executing and building strategies.
• Experience in technical/consultative selling.
• Knowledge of pump design, application and selection.
• Strong written proposal and technical reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as main technical consultant to sales team and customers for retrofit enquiries.
• Support regional strategy and sales plan development.
• Develop account/region plans to grow retrofit opportunities.
• Lead initiatives to identify retrofit opportunities via forums, visits and reviews.
• Contribute to rolling forecast with regional sales and service managers.
• Maintain client relationships and CRM updates.
• Promote retrofit opportunities internally and externally.
• Ensure smooth handover from pre- to post-order status.
