Job summary

Sulzer is looking for a Retrofit Sales Engineer to support the sales process with technical expertise, product demonstrations, and proposals across nominated regions. You will act as the technical consultant to the sales team and customers for retrofit inquiries, contributing to regional strategy and growth plans.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineering degree, 4+ years in pump-related industries, knowledge of pump design and upgrades, and willingness to travel 25%–50%.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant experience within pump industry.
• Experience in upstream, refining, petrochemical, pipeline & power sectors.
• Experience in executing and building strategies and in technical/consultative selling.

Responsibilities

• Act as main technical consultant to sales team and customers for Retrofit enquiries.
• Support regional strategy, sales plans and improvement projects.
• Develop account/region plans to grow Retrofit opportunities.
• Identify retrofit opportunities through forums, asset reviews, customer visits, training, etc.
• Contribute to rolling forecast with regional teams.
• Maintain relationships to position Sulzer as preferred supplier; use CRM effectively.
• Stay updated on market trends, competitors and retrofit strategies.
• Produce and review proposals and support the proposal process.
• Ensure smooth handover from pre- to post-order status.
• Attend sales meetings and share area information with the team.
• Promote Retrofits via social media and peer platforms.
