Job summary

Sulzer is seeking an early-career Sales Engineer to support the sales process with technical expertise, product demonstrations, and proposals. You will work with senior engineers and sales teams to meet customer requirements and identify retrofit opportunities across your region.

The role emphasizes broad theoretical knowledge, problem solving with guidance, and travel (25%-50%). You will contribute to regional planning and customer engagement while advancing Sulzer's retrofit initiatives.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in pump design, application and selection.
• Experience in executing and building strategies.
• Experience in technical/consultative selling.
• Strong writing of technical proposals and reports.

Responsibilities

• Act as main technical consultant to sales team or end user for Retrofit enquiries in the nominated region.
• Support Head of Retrofits with regional strategy and sales plans.
• Develop regional account/territory plans to grow retrofit opportunities.
• Drive initiatives to identify retrofit opportunities via forums, health checks, asset reviews and customer visits.
• Support rolling forecast process with regional sales and service managers.
• Maintain client relationships and CRM data to position Sulzer as preferred supplier.
• Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and retrofit strategies.
• Prepare and review proposals and ensure smooth handover from pre to post order.
• Attend sales meetings and share all relevant info for the area.
