Job summary

Pomp’s Tire Service is seeking a Retread Technician to refurbish and restore used commercial tires, applying new tread to extend their lifespan and meet safety standards.

You will work in a fast-paced shop environment, handle tires at reachable heights, perform inspections, apply patches, and document repair details while collaborating with a team. Physical work and adherence to safety protocols are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 150 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a team.
• Must be able to read and verify work order information.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Receive tires at a workable height hanging on a hook.
• Perform visual inspections on tires and apply patches as needed for quality assurance.
• Paint and stack tires with mechanical assistance.
• Clean up and buff off excess rubber on finished tires.
• Use hand tools effectively to envelope tires.
• Accurately document repair information on work orders.
• Load and unload tires in the chamber as required.
• Additional tasks as assigned.
