Job summary

Pomp's Tire Service in Green Bay, Wisconsin is seeking a Wheel and Rim Reconditioning Operator to inspect, blast, paint, and package rims for our commercial tire operations. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and speed in a fast-paced shop environment.

You'll load/unload rims, apply shrink wrap, monitor inventory, maintain a clean workspace, and assist with mounting/demounting wheel assemblies using proper tools. Overtime and weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to new tasks.
• General mechanical aptitude; commercial tire experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule, including availability for various shifts, overtime, and weekends.
• Cross-training in multiple roles and follow tasks through to completion.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, push, carry, and/or move a maximum of 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Inspect wheels to ensure they are in proper working condition
• Load and unload rims safely and efficiently
• Apply shrink wrap to rims upon completion
• Monitor inventory levels and order shot, powder, and necessary accessories as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
• Mount and demount wheel assemblies using appropriate tire tools effectively
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor
