Job summary

Pomp's Tire Service in Oakwood, Ohio, is seeking a Retread Technician to refurbish and restore used commercial tires, applying new tread and ensuring safety and performance standards for our customers.

In a fast-paced shop you will inspect tires, patch as needed, paint and stack tires, document repairs on work orders, and assist with loading tires. We offer overtime, medical/dental/vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 150 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to read and verify work orders.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Receive tires at a workable height.
• Perform visual inspections and apply patches as needed.
• Paint and stack tires with mechanical assistance.
• Clean up and buff off excess rubber.
• Use hand tools to envelope tires.
• Document repair information on work orders.
• Load and unload tires in the chamber as required.
• Additional tasks as assigned.
