Pomp's Tire Service, Inc. is seeking a Retread Technician to refurbish and restore used commercial tires by applying new tread, extending their lifespan and ensuring safety.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds regularly, and up to 150 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to read and verify work order information.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Receive tires at a workable height and inspect them.
• Apply patches as needed for quality assurance.
• Paint and stack tires with mechanical assistance.
• Clean up and buff off excess rubber on finished tires.
• Envelope tires with hand tools.
• Document repair information on work orders.
• Load and unload tires in the chamber as required.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.

What You’ll Do:

• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

• Perform visual inspections on tires and apply patches as needed for quality assurance
• Paint and stack tires with mechanical assistance
• Clean up and buff off excess rubber on finished tires
• Use hand tools effectively to envelope tires
• Accurately document repair information on work orders
• Load and unload tires in the chamber as required
• Additional tasks as assigned
