Job summary

Purcell Tire & Rubber Co in Portland, OR is hiring a full-time Retread Technician to produce high-quality retreads by following company specifications, standards and time frames. You will inspect tires, operate plant equipment to buff, skive, repair and cure tires, and ensure proper work orders while maintaining a safe, clean work environment in compliance with OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a background & drug screen
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull heavy objects
• Ability to work both independently and as a team

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to be retreaded or repaired
• Work plant station to repair and/or retread tires per specification
• Safely operate plant equipment to buff, skive, repair, envelope, cure tires
• Safely trim, paint and tag finished tires
• Make final tire repair inspection and place with finished stock
• Ensure work order completion: proper work, and identification
• Maintain equipment in good operating condition
• Maintain a clean working environment
• Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols
• Protect company assets (inventory, receivables, equip & real estate)
• Look for opportunities to improve our products & services
