Job summary

Purcell Tire Company in Portland, OR is seeking a full-time Retread Technician to contribute to the production of the industry’s highest-quality retreads by following company specifications, standards, and timeframes.

You will inspect tires to be retreaded, operate plant equipment to buff, skive, repair, envelope, cure, trim and tag finished tires, and ensure accurate work orders while maintaining a safe, clean work environment and supporting teamwork.

Qualifications

• Pass background & drug screen.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull heavy objects.
• Ability to work both independently and as a team.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tires to be retreaded or repaired.
• Work plant station to repair and/or retread tires per specification.
• Safely operate plant equipment to buff, skive, repair, envelope, cure tires.
• Safely trim, paint and tag finished tires.
• Make final tire repair inspection and place with finished stock.
• Ensure work order completion: proper work, and identification.
• Maintain equipment in good operating condition.
• Maintain a clean working environment.
• Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols.
