Job summary

Purcell Tire Company in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a full-time Retread Technician to join our tire production team. You will perform specific retreading tasks per our specifications, standards, and time frames to deliver high-quality retreads for customers.

Expect Mon-Fri 4:00 AM to 2:30 PM, $20/hour with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, PTO after 90 days, paid holidays, a 401(k) with company match, and training opportunities to advance your skills

Qualifications

• Background check required.
• Drug screen required.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull heavy objects.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform retreading tasks per company specifications, standards, and time frames.
• Maintain quality and safety during tire retreading processes.
• Inspect tires and complete work orders with proper identification and documentation.
• Maintain equipment and a clean, safe working environment in the plant.

What You Need:

• Ability to pass a background & drug screen
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull heavy objects
• Ability to work both independently and as a team

What You'll Train For:

• Commit to continual improvement, training & professional growth
• Inspect tires to be retreaded or repaired
• Work plant station to repair and/or retread tires per specification
• Safely operate plant equipment to buff, skive, repair, envelope, cure tires
• Safely trim, paint and tag finished tires
• Make final tire repair inspection and place with finished stock
• Ensure work order completion: proper work, and identification
• Maintain equipment in good operating condition
• Maintain a clean working environment
• Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols
• Protect company assets (inventory, receivables, equip & real estate)
• Look for opportunities to improve our products & services
• Other essential and non-essential duties, as assigned by management
