Job summary

The Reserves Network seeks a Retirement Counselor to build and manage long-term relationships with retirement plan sponsor clients. This client-facing role combines strategic support with problem-solving and relationship development.

Responsibilities include serving as the primary contact, managing satisfaction and retention, and consulting on plan objectives and governance. Travel about 40% to meet clients and plan participants; strong communication and relationship skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of experience in asset management, retirement services, financial services, or client service preferred.
• Strong understanding of securities, financial markets, and retirement plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong client-service and relationship-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary relationship contact for retirement plan sponsor clients.
• Manage client satisfaction, retention, and ongoing relationship needs.
• Support retirement plan design, governance, and compliance initiatives.
• Consult with plan sponsors regarding retirement plan objectives and governance processes.
• Coordinate with recordkeepers, TPAs, and other service providers.
• Oversee plan amendments, implementations, asset transfers, and investment lineup changes.
• Develop and deliver participant education and enrollment initiatives.
• Support annual retirement plan administration and fiduciary requirements.
• Communicate market updates, investment strategies, and plan-related changes to clients.
• Provide fee benchmarking and other information supporting plan sponsor fiduciary responsibilities.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless plan servicing.
