Job summary

FuturePlan, a leading retirement plan administrator, is hiring an Onboarding Specialist to oversee new client onboarding, coordinate with advisors, and ensure timely execution of start-up and takeover projects. You will guide the installation of plans, review documents, and communicate progress across departments to keep implementations on track.

The role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and experience with recordkeeping systems.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of industry experience in financial services or retirement services environment preferred.
• Proficiency with MS-Office applications, especially Excel and Word.
• Basic ERISA, DOL and IRS regulation knowledge and plan documents understanding.
• Excellent presentation, telephone etiquette and client service skills.
• Strong written and oral communication with all levels of the organization.
• Detail oriented with strong time management and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manages onboarding cases to meet service goals and timelines with limited supervision.
• Communicates roles and responsibilities of all parties in the onboarding process.
• collaborates to improve implementation processes.
• Reviews onboarding documents with client and advisor to install the plan.
• Reports onboarding progress to internal departments and updates workflow systems.
• Provides training and assistance to clients to complete tasks and resolve issues.
• Escalates risks to leadership to protect service satisfaction and financial liability.
• Participates in solution teams to define onboarding processes for new services.
