Job summary

Waubonsee Community College is seeking a Student Retention Analyst to oversee the student retention platform (EAB Navigate) and deliver reporting for retention and success data. You will pull data from SIS, data warehouse, and surveys to support outreach and divisional metrics.

The role involves coordinating with IT and campus partners, building dashboards in Power BI and Excel, and presenting findings to leadership. Hybrid work is available, with a focus on student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least one year of technical experience including system maintenance and reporting.
• Strong background in database structure/functions and computer applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Excel pivot tables; Power BI or Tableau preferred.
• Experience pulling and combining data from different sources.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Application Administrator for the student retention platform (EAB Navigate).
• Lead onboarding and training for new/current users and maintain docs.
• Collaborate with IT to resolve data integration issues in the platform.
• Maintain subject-matter expertise on EAB Navigate and updates.
• Collect data from SIS, data warehouse, retention platform, surveys for reports.
• Use EAB Navigate, Power BI, and Excel to build visualizations and pivot tables.
• Prepare reports and explain findings to leadership and stakeholders.
• Analyze trends to identify sub-populations needing retention efforts.
• Assess outreach outcomes to gauge intervention success.
• Create reports on divisional activity and intervention effectiveness.
• Support holds processes for first-semester and probation students.
• Collaborate to ensure data definitions, usage, and validity.
