Job summary

IKEA in College Park, MD is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support order fulfillment across sales channels by ensuring product availability and a smooth replenishment process. You will receive inbound goods, move products to stocking locations, and pick customer orders within the required timeframes to deliver a great customer experience.

This role requires physical stamina (lifting up to 50 lbs), experience in high-volume warehouses, and certification in at least one power mobile equipment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in high volume warehouse or receiving/replenishment.
• Physical Demands: lifting, pushing/pulling, sliding/transferring and carrying up to 50 lbs.
• Certification in at least one power mobile equipment (forklift, electric pallet jack, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive inbound goods and ensure inventory accuracy.
• Move product to final selling location and replenish stock as needed.
• Perform replenishment with guidance according to visual merchandising.
• Pick and prepare customer orders within the required timeframe.
• Handle goods during unloading, transporting, stocking, and loading.
• Operate scanner equipment and inventory IT systems; certify powered equipment.

What you'll be doing day to day

Contributing to the fulfillment of customer orders in different sales channels in the retail store by ensuring an efficiently executed product availability and replenishment process.

• Receiving inbound goods and ensures inventory accuracy at point of receiving.
• Moving product to final selling location (in storage or on the floor in all areas).
• Performing sales space replenishment with flexibility and according to visual merchandising guidance.
• Pick and preparing customer orders within the agreed timeframe to secure an excellent customer experience.
• Handling goods (unloading, transporting, replenishing, stocking in, stocking out, picking, loading).
• Operating scanner equipment and inventory management tools including IT systems
• Certifying all powered mobile equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks

JOB TYPE: Permanent – Full time

HOURS: 34-40 hrs/week

SHIFT: Retail Environment, must be able to work nights & weekends.

The hourly pay range for this position is $23.23-$32.82

Experience with using power equipment and driving Forklifts preferred
