Job summary

Bloomingdale’s is seeking an Assistant BSM to lead the floor and elevate the colleague and customer experience. As a front-line leader, you will coach a team of sales associates, model selling behaviors, and drive the store’s sales goals while ensuring every customer feels welcome.

You will recruit, onboard, and develop direct reports, implement merchandising and service standards, and monitor fulfillment processes to maintain strong execution and loyalty.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree.
• 3–5 years related experience.
• Effectively communicate and present information to customers and partners.
• Ability to plan and execute strategies.
• Ability to monitor and maneuver workflow to meet priorities.
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to draft reports and communicate with management.

Responsibilities

• Drive and exceed sales goals through coaching and role modeling customer-centric selling behaviors.
• Lead customer service in the store and ensure teams engage with customers.
• Champion use of selling technology to support a seamless customer experience.
• Lead and educate relationship selling and build a client book for outreach.
• Direct merchandising direction with store leadership and merchandising teams.
• Ensure re-stocking, floor moves, and signing are completed.
• Oversee fulfillment processes and track metrics to optimize fill rate.
• Attract, hire, train, coach, evaluate and manage an average of 10 direct reports.
