Job summary

Goodwill Southeast Georgia is seeking a store associate to maximize sales and support the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in daily operations. You will greet donors, stock merchandise, prepare reports, and ensure store safety and policy compliance.

The role requires flexibility, reliable communication, and the ability to work evenings, holidays, and weekends while contributing to community sustainability goals.

Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED or equivalent experience to perform essential functions.
• Proficient in all Goodwill sales associate duties for 60+ working days.
• Ability to relate to people of all socioeconomic levels; valid driver's license and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Solve customer problems as authorized; refer to Assistant Manager or Manager.
• Greet donors, offer assistance and receipts.
• Stock and maintain store in neat, clean, orderly condition.
• Prepare reports as directed by management following procedures.
• Open and close store as directed.
• Monitor for shoplifters and counterfeit bills; alert management.
• Follow policies on charge, return, exchange and check acceptance.
• Act for Store Manager in their absence.
• Process and price items per procedures; keep merchandise organized.
• Supervise/train employees on customer service procedures.
• Assist and train associates with Change Roundup Program.
• Carry out manager duties in absence of store manager/assistant manager.
• Complete related assignments to accomplish mission.
