Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to team members.
• Ability to resolve conflicts and address root causes.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining standards.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to inform decisions.
• Experience mentoring team members across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Mentor and coach team members to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Ensure staffing and hiring processes meet staffing needs.
• Document and apply disciplinary actions and make recommendations on discharge.
• Manage P&L, sales targets, and shrink reduction for the department.
• Model exceptional, fast, and friendly customer service.
• Promote the Meijer Friendly Initiative in meetings and conversations.
• Ensure team is trained in all job aspects and required training is completed.
• Maintain strong communication with customers and team members to deliver exceptional service.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain consistent attendance.
