Responsibilities

• Engaging peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for our customers including an exceptional checkout experience.
• Communicating with team members and assigning daily work tasks.
• Mentoring and coaching other team members to exceed customer service and sales goals.
• Supports training new team members and cross-training talent to boost productivity.
• Working with leadership on department schedule writing to focus on engagement and sales.
• Ensuring freshness of products by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guiding team in compliance with food safety standards and safe operations.
• Leading ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product display where applicable.
• Creating an environment that supports Meijer culture, DEI values.
• Operating a register and cash handling when needed.
• Operating powered equipment where applicable.
• Participating in period end inventories to help achieve goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments throughout the store.
