Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leadership candidate to plan, direct and supervise day-to-day operations across departments. You will mentor and coach the team to enhance performance and ensure high service standards for customers.

You will implement strategies to boost sales, maintain store appearance, and guide staffing decisions while prioritizing safety and company policies. This role requires strong communication and leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent is required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in other areas of the store such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day store operations across departments.
• Mentor and coach all team members to improve performance.
• Implement strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Maintain store appearance focusing on prime shopping hours and product presentation.
• Ensure staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Promote succession planning by developing career paths and identifying development needs.
