Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and develop the team. You will support the Store Manager, supervise associates, and ensure daily tasks are completed.

You will assist with merchandising, opening/closing, shrink prevention, and safety compliance while maintaining clean, well-stocked aisles and stockroom. This role requires strong communication and a proactive, high-energy work style.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills are required.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain areas of the store and stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
