Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Boston seeks an in-store Lead to drive brand standards and enhance the teammate experience. Guided by the Assistant Store Manager and Store Manager, you will be the in-store expert for your department, delivering exceptional customer service while leading and coaching teammates.

You will focus on hiring, training, and developing staff, coordinating daily game plans, and ensuring safety and loss prevention policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior retail sales experience (or customer-focused experience) preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15 to 35 lbs repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
• Ability to work extended periods standing or walking (up to 4 hours).
• Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with ladder or platform.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours).

Responsibilities

• Lead in-store execution of brand standards and improve teammate experience.
• Observes in-store interviews and department tours to help build a strong team.
• Plans and organizes schedules 30 days out with guidance from store leadership.
• Leads by example, coaching teammates and explaining the 'why' behind tasks and plans.
• Upholds merchandising and presentation standards and oversees inventory presentation.
• Create an inclusive store environment where teammates and customers feel welcome and safe.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by management.
