J.Crew Group in Seal Beach, CA is seeking an Assistant Manager who will join the store leadership team and help drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and community engagement. You will coach the sales team, provide feedback, and collaborate with peers to adapt strategies for success.

You will own a division of responsibility, manage operations and store systems, assist with recruiting and training, and lead by example to deliver best-in-class service.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of retail management experience.
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty.
• Scheduling flexibility including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry and move at least 40 pounds (18 kilos).

Responsibilities

• Support Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact business results.
• Own your division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist Store Director & Associate Store Manager with recruiting, training and development efforts, if needed.
• Partner with Store Director and Associate Store Manager to cultivate a collaborative working environment.
• Ensure the team is on track to exceed goals and provide best-in-class customer service.
• Lead fit sessions to boost product knowledge for associates.
• Engage the community and build loyalty through events.
• Step into various roles on the sales floor when needed.
