Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking a Retail Supervisor to assist the management team in daily store operations and to supervise/mentor retail associates. The role involves rotating supervision across categories and delivering excellent customer service to customers and donors.

The position pays $23.97/hour with a focus on nonprofit mission support, DEI initiatives, and a safe, collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalency but not required.
• 2 years’ experience with retail with POS systems.
• 2 years’ customer service/retail experience.
• 1 year supervisor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign, guide, coach and train employees while performing the work of a Sales Associates as needed.
• Schedule and assign one or more employees to complete retail operational requirements.
• Set expectations, instruct, coach and identify training needs.
• Maintain orderly operations of the store in the absence of the Manager and Assistant.
• Resolve workplace problems by addressing issues that impact employee performance and productivity.
• Ensure excellent customer service is provided to customers and donors.
• Prepare reports by collecting, documenting and summarizing information.
• Complete projects by planning, organizing and monitoring assignments.
• Promote productivity by following up with employees on work results.
• Provide excellent internal/external customer service.
