Job summary

Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, CA, is seeking a Retail Supervisor to supervise, motivate and coordinate daily retail store operations in a professional, courteous, service-driven manner. Lead staff, enforce five-star service standards, and drive suggestive selling, product knowledge, merchandising and teamwork.

You will write weekly schedules, manage timekeeping, coordinate inventory, and partner with buyers to maintain stock.

Responsibilities

  • Motivate and lead Sales Associates to achieve monthly sales goals and dollar spent per occupied room goal daily by using five-star service.
  • Implement sales selling and product training techniques for all Sales Associates in order to achieve sales objectives. Implement contests or sales incentives on a monthly basis and recognize top performers.
  • Develop the staff on merchandise presentation of sales floor, in-store product knowledge, promotional and window displays; develop an enthusiastic approach to cross-marketing.
  • Write and monitor weekly schedules for all Sales Associates based on hours per occupied room budget and weekly labor payroll projections; approve and oversee accuracy in weekly time keeping logs.
  • Implement weekly tasks and work assignments for each Sales Associate based on inventories, shipment, product displays, customer orders, backstock, and paperwork.
  • Understand product mix and best selling item reports; communicate results with Retail Manager on a weekly basis; recap selling successes at end of month.
  • Assist Retail Manager in recruiting and hiring new staff members; take an active role in the interview process and yearly performance evaluations of staff.
  • Partner with corporate buyers to create and maintain adequate inventory levels for each season; communicate on all out-of-stock items with store ambassador, buyer and Retail Manager.
  • Assist in annual budget preparation with Retail Manager by discussing staffing levels, merchandise assortment, store layout, store operations and revenue projections.

Overview

Support. train and lead store staff to success by enforcing 5-star service standards. suggestive up-selling, in-depth product knowledge, creative merchandising. working as a team player. recognizing and acting on retail related trends and assume financial responsibility for all plaza shop outlets.

Physical Requirements
