Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment. You will assist with day-to-day activities, supervise staff, and ensure a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store activity communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked and organized to company standards.
• Protect and secure all store assets, including cash.
• Ensure policies and safety procedures are followed by all associates.
• Train and develop Store Associates and supervise staff.
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and employees.
