Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run a customer-focused store. You will assist with scheduling, training, merchandise presentation, and deposits, while ensuring profitability and asset protection.

The role involves supervising staff, operating the cash register, and maintaining inventory and security practices. Full-time schedule with the opportunity to lead in the Store Manager's absence.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close store at least two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling and training employees.
• Manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, displays, and planograms.
• Maintain accurate inventory and control damages/markdowns.
• Assist with planogram implementation and product presentation.
• Ensure cash control, refunds, and deposits are handled securely.
• Support store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
