Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Loves Park, IL is seeking a part-time Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, price donated goods, and help meet production goals. Paid training, evenings/weekends, and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be able to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to stand and walk for most of the shift; lift/move merchandise as needed.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise.
• Help track and report production numbers.
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor.
• Receive trucks and assist with loading/unloading.
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces.
• Collaborate with team to meet daily production goals.

Location: Loves Park, IL Pay: $15.00 per hour Job Type: Part-time Schedule: 24 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
