Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Galesburg, IL is seeking a part-time Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, and price donated goods, keeping the store organized and helping meet production goals.

You will receive paid training, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills. The role supports a mission-driven environment with an emphasis on teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or currently pursuing.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.

Responsibilities

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock

Training Provided
