The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Des Moines, IA is seeking a dependable Retail Store Processor to process donated goods, tag and price merchandise, and keep the store organized to meet daily production goals. Training is provided and support from store leadership helps you build retail and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to stand/walk for most of shift; lift/move merchandise.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
