Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Rockford, IL is seeking a motivated Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, price donated merchandise, and help meet production goals while keeping the store organized.

This part-time role offers 24 hours per week, including evenings and weekends, with paid training and benefits prorated by scheduled hours. Opportunities to build retail and customer service skills are provided.

Qualifications

• Must be able to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality is required.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Stand and walk for most of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise.
• Help track and report production numbers.
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor.
• Receive trucks and assist to load/unload and move product to departments.
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces.
• Work with the team to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
