Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Indianapolis is seeking a motivated Retail Store Processor to help transform donations into store-ready merchandise and to support production goals.

You will sort, tag, price items, assist with unloading deliveries, maintain clean spaces, and work with a team to meet daily targets. This role offers part-time hours, flexible scheduling including weekends, and employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise.

• Receive trucks and assist to load/unload and move product to departments.

Pay: $13.50 per hour
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: 25 hours per week. Flexible scheduling required. Monday - Saturday days, evenings, and weekends

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
• May make bank runs, price items, or cross train in another department
