Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a part-time Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, price merchandise and keep the store organized. This role supports production goals and handles donated goods with reliability and teamwork.

You’ll receive paid training, ongoing coaching, and opportunities to build retail and customer service skills while contributing to community programs through mission-driven work.

Qualifications

• Ability to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic communication and teamwork skills.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Able to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day.
• High school diploma or currently pursuing education.

Responsibilities

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise.

Job description

Location: Ann Arbor MI Pay: $13.73 - $15.73 per hour Job Type: Part-time Schedule: 24 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
