Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Galesburg, IL is seeking a part-time Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, and price donated merchandise and help meet production goals. Pay rate is $15.00 per hour with a schedule of 20 to 28 hours weekly, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will track production numbers, move items to the sales floor, and assist with loading/unloading shipments. Paid training, ongoing coaching, and a team-oriented environment are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or currently pursuing.
• Ability to process donated merchandise.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock

Training Provided
