Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Retail Store Processor to sort, tag, and price donated goods and help meet daily production goals.

Pay is $13.50 per hour for 25 hours weekly with occasional evenings/weekends. Training is provided, and benefits include paid time off, life insurance options, and a retirement plan.

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Retail Store Processor to process and prepare donated goods, keep the store organized, and help meet production goals.

What You’ll Do

• Sort, tag, and price merchandise
• Help track and report production numbers
• Move processed merchandise to sales floor
• Receive trucks and assists to load, unload and move product to the correct departments
• Maintain clean work and storage spaces
• Work together with team members to meet daily production goals for merchandise processing and store stock
• May make bank runs, price items, or cross train in another department

• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift or move merchandise throughout the day
• High school diploma or currently pursuing
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive on behalf of The Salvation Army

Preferred

• Previous retail or thrift store experience
