Job summary

Sysco Minnesota is seeking a seasoned store manager to lead daily operations of a cash-and-carry retail unit. You will plan work schedules, set pricing policies, coordinate promotions, supervise staff, reconcile cash, and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.

The role requires proven people management, broad knowledge of retail practices, and the ability to manage inventory, accounting tasks, and customer loyalty initiatives.

Qualifications

• Five years experience as manager or assistant manager in a retail operation.
• Broad knowledge of retail practices and ability to manage people and drive customer loyalty.
• Experience with business-related accounting practices and P&L statements.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare work schedules; assign employees to duties.
• Formulates pricing policies on merchandise for profitability.
• Coordinate sales promotions and merchandise displays; prepare advertising copy.
• Supervise staff, inventories, cash reconciliation, and daily transaction records.
• Order merchandise or prepare requisitions to replenish stock.
• Ensure compliance with security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures.
• Operate point-of-sale systems and related equipment.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety standards and company policies.
• Address customer complaints and inquiries.
