Job summary

Sysco Western Minnesota, Inc. is seeking a Store Manager to lead a retail operation, supervise staff, and ensure profitability. You will schedule work, implement pricing policies, and coordinate promotions and displays to maximize sales and customer loyalty.

Responsibilities include inventory control, cash handling, POS system usage, and maintaining sanitation and safety standards while addressing customer inquiries and complaints.

Qualifications

• Five years experience as manager or assistant manager in a retail operation.
• Broad knowledge of business accounting practices and profit and loss statements.
• Experience in marketing and in building customer loyalty.
• Two or four year college degree may substitute part of the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and prepares work schedules and assigns employees to specific duties.
• Formulates pricing policies on merchandise according to profitability requirements.
• Coordinates sales promotion activities and prepares merchandise displays and advertising copy.
• Supervises employees engaged in sales, inventories, cash handling, and daily records.
• Orders merchandise or prepares requisitions to replenish stock.
• Ensures compliance with security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures.
• Oversees use of computer and point-of-sale systems.
• Adheres to sanitation and safety regulations and practices.
• Answers customer complaints or inquiries.
