Job summary

Coastal Farm in Redmond, OR is seeking a Store Associate to support daily store operations and assist customers with product location, questions, and purchases. You will help with merchandising, signage, inventory, and keeping the floor welcoming.

You will train new associates, create daily worklists, participate in meetings, and may assume duties of store leadership when scheduled. Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience working in a retail environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of Eagle Browser.
• Experience working in different departments of the store.
• Intermediate knowledge of operating a POS system.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and to shift priorities accordingly.
• Familiar with how to operate a computer system and email.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge every customer, answer customer questions, and help customers find the location of products.
• Assist with all daily operations of the store - including merchandising, display presentation, signage standards, and inventory monitoring.
• Train new associates on systems, procedures, and product knowledge.
• Create and implement daily worklists and goals for store associates.
• Assume duties of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Managers when scheduled.
• Open and close the store as needed and scheduled.
• Assist in leading store meetings and store goals/objectives.
• Answer incoming phone calls.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Coastal Farm products and promotions.
• Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping.
